Charlotte Hafstad Widerberg


As a senior adviser in the Armed Forces, Charlotte has built up solid expertise in the Armed Forces’ operational activities, with particular emphasis on cyber, technology, privacy and security law. Furthermore, Charlotte has many years of experience as an investigator in the secretariat of the Petroleum Fund’s Ethics Council, where she worked with compliance, corporate social responsibility, scrutiny of multinational companies and public procurement.

She also has a master’s degree from King`s College in London with a specialization in states’ handling of international security threats such as terrorism, intelligence etc. and wrote a dissertation entitled: “Why Do Two Liberal Democracies Have Significantly Diverging Legal Powers to Access Digital Communications for Countering the Same Range of Threats, and What Are the Implications for Their Security?”
