The Real Estate team offers real estate planning, building and development services based on its long experience of assisting public and private actors with land use planning and building issues. Several team members have come from the public sector, including Oslo Municipality (Agency for Planning and Building Services), the County Governor’s Office and the Norwegian Ministry of Local Government and Modernization. The team also has cutting edge expertise in general administrative law, legislation relating to conservation areas in Oslo and neighbouring municipalities, the system for applications and legal aspects of the right to accept responsibility, as well as issues related to property law in planning and construction cases.

The lawyers on the team serve as advisers in respect of several of the largest areas currently under development in Oslo, and they have extensive knowledge of the planning hierarchy in addition to planning and construction processes related to political leadership and administration. The team offers legal services covering real estate projects from concept to completion, including clearances and the facilitation of sales. The lawyers work across disciplines, cooperating seamlessly with architects and engineers based on their broad networks in these service areas. Legal services include feasibility studies, option agreements, project development and help with regulatory processes, in addition to questions associated with doing things in the right order, reimbursements and negotiations on construction agreements. Team members can also help with dividing and converting properties into individual units, including infrastructure and the organization of construction properties, etc.
